The DAF-DS dissolved air flotation system is purpose-engineered for seawater desalination pre-treatment, serving as the critical first-stage clarification step before reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. In both Middle East mega-desalination plants and Latin American coastal facilities, raw seawater carries high loads of algae, suspended solids, oil, and organic matter that foul RO membranes. This DAF system uses 316L marine-grade stainless steel construction and pressurized dissolved air micro-bubble technology to efficiently remove algae blooms (including red tide), turbidity, and colloidal particles from seawater intake. With 2-150 m3/h capacity, it protects downstream RO membranes from fouling and extends membrane life in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Chilean desalination projects.
